Instagram follower count tracker

Updated: 26 October 2026

Short answer: A follower count tells you how many, never who or when. A tracker records the counts over time and, on accounts it can read in full, the names behind each gain and loss. Snytch follows the follower and following counts of any public account, with a check about every 2 hours, and never asks for your Instagram login.

What the counter hides

Instagram shows a single number that moves up and down. If it goes from 843 to 842 you do not know who left, if it was an unfollow or a deleted account, or when. A growth curve needs a history Instagram does not keep.

What gets recorded

Snytch saves the follower and following counts at each check and the movements it confirms, so you can look back at gains and losses since you started tracking. It cannot go back before your first snapshot.

Limits you should know

Counts and names come from public data only. On very large accounts, Snytch follows the count rather than listing every name. The count itself can move for reasons that are not unfollows, such as accounts deleted or removed by Instagram.
