Instagram recent follow tracker
Updated: 26 October 2026
Short answer: Instagram shows who an account follows, but with no dates and no reliable order, so you cannot tell who it followed today. A recent follow tracker fixes that by saving the list and comparing it over time: every new follow is recorded with the time it was spotted. Snytch does this for any public account, with a check about every 2 hours, and never asks for your Instagram login.
Why the following list shows nothing recent
Open a profile and tap Following: you get a long list with no dates. A follow from this morning looks the same as one from two years ago, and an unfollow simply disappears. Without a copy of the list from before, you cannot see what changed.
What a recent follow tracker does
It takes a first snapshot of the list, checks again at regular intervals and compares. A new name is a new follow. A name that vanishes and stays gone on the next check is an unfollow. Each change is shown with the time the tracker spotted it, which is the closest honest answer to "when": Instagram does not publish the exact moment of a follow.
How Snytch handles it
Add the @ of a public account. Snytch saves the starting point, rechecks about every 2 hours on most accounts (a little less often on very large ones) and sends an alert when something changes. It is frequent monitoring, not real time. The person is never notified, you never log in to Instagram, and a private account cannot be tracked while it stays private. On very large accounts Snytch follows the count rather than listing every name.
FAQ
Can I see who someone followed today?
Not from Instagram alone. A tracker that has a snapshot from before can show the new follows it has spotted since, with the time it spotted them.
Does it work on private accounts?
No. Only public information is read. A private account is tracked once it becomes public.
Will the person know I am watching?
No. Snytch only reads what any visitor can see on a public profile and notifies no one.
