Can you see who viewed your Instagram profile

Updated: October 21, 2026

Short answer: No. Instagram does not tell you who looks at your profile, and any app or site that claims to is not telling the truth. What you can know is who follows you, who stops, and, on a public account, who it follows. Snytch tracks that, and it does not show profile visits because nobody outside Instagram has that data.

What Instagram does and does not show

Story viewers are listed for the stories you post. Professional accounts see aggregate numbers such as profile visits. Neither tells you the names of the people who opened your profile.

Why profile viewer apps are fake

An app cannot read data Instagram does not expose. The lists they show are guesses, often just your own followers or random names, and many exist to get your password or sell you a subscription. Never give them your login.

What you can really track

Snytch tracks real, public movements: who follows and unfollows a public account and who it starts to follow, checked about every 2 hours. It never asks for your Instagram login, and the person being tracked is never notified.

FAQ

Does Instagram notify people when I view their profile?

No. Viewing a profile does not notify the owner, and Snytch never reveals who is looking either.

Can I see who viewed my story?

Yes, Instagram lists story viewers for the stories you post. That is separate from profile visits.

Is there any safe app that shows profile visitors?

No. The data is not available outside Instagram, so any app claiming it is unreliable and often unsafe.
